Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. has solidified its position in the insurance and financial services markets by announcing three strategic acquisitions: New York-based Filos Agency, Australia’s Via Financial Group, and the UK’s Redington Ltd. These acquisitions reflect Gallagher’s aggressive growth strategy to broaden its portfolio across diverse geographies, from property/casualty insurance in the U.S. to financial advisory services in Australia, and investment consulting in the UK.

Gallagher Extends U.S. Small Business Portfolio with Filos Agency Acquisition

The acquisition of Filos Agency, Inc., a Long Beach-based property/casualty insurance agency, will enhance Gallagher’s presence in New York. Filos Agency, renowned for its client-centric approach, primarily serves the property and casualty insurance needs of small businesses and individuals across the New York region. This acquisition aligns with Gallagher’s focus on building its small business capabilities in the U.S., with Thomas Costantakos and his team set to continue operations under the Gallagher Agency Alliance, led by Jen Tadin, head of Gallagher Select. CEO J. Patrick Gallagher, Jr. expressed excitement in welcoming Filos Agency, lauding the acquisition as a “complement to Gallagher’s existing small business capabilities.”
