Arthur J. Gallagher acquires New York based wholesale insurance broker CMS

Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., a global insurance brokerage, risk management, and consulting services company, has acquired CMS, a full-service wholesale insurance broker based in Melville, New York, for an undisclosed price.

Established in 1996, CMS works with agents across the US with its team specializing in placing coverages for construction, wholesaling/distributing, importing, real estate, manufacturing businesses, and also personal lines.

Scott Charney, Michael Raab, and Rich Verdi and their associates will continue to operate in their existing location under the direction of Steve Levin, vice president of Northeast Region for Risk Placement Services, (RPS), a subsidiary of Arthur J. Gallagher & Co.
