French private equity company Ardian has agreed to sell European hotel cosmetics manufacturer ADA Cosmetics (ADA International) to Austria-based investment firm Moonlake Capital for an undisclosed price.
Ardian said that the management team of the hotel cosmetics manufacturer will continue to be shareholders of the company.
The French private equity company through the Ardian Expansion Fund III acquired ADA International about four years ago. Since then, the hotel cosmetics manufacturer had expanded by acquiring Scandinavian Amenities, Pacific Direct and RDI Malaysia along with its organic growth.
According to Ardian, ADA International has moved forward from being a regional market leader in the DACH region to the market leader in Europe. It has also improved its presence in Asia and the Middle East.
After the acquisition by Ardian, the hotel cosmetics manufacturer’s sales have crossed €110 million with a steady increase in profit. Its customer base has surged from 15,000 to more than 25,000 hotels while its workforce has grown to about 700 employees.
Established in 1979 in Kehl, Germany, ADA International mainly manufactures and sells personal care products like shampoo, soap, body lotion, shower gel and accessories for hotels.
Along with its own brands like Naturals, Hydro Basics and Pure Herbs, ADA International’s product range also features hotel cosmetics products from global brands such as Bulgari and Chopard.

The hotel cosmetics manufacturer caters to independent hotels and also international hotel chains across the three, four and five-star segment. Apart from serving the hotel industry, ADA International also supplies its cosmetic products to cruise ships and airlines.
