Aker Solutions to bag inspection services contract for Equinor’s Norwegian facilities

Norwegian engineering company Aker Solutions has been selected for a contract worth NOK 1.2 billion ($131.37m) from oil and gas giant Equinor for being the main supplier for inspection services for 15 plus operating facilities in Norway.

The two parties are expected to sign a frame agreement shortly, which will cover an initial period of six years. The agreement will have options for two additional four-year extensions.

The agreement calls for a wide variety of inspection services to be carried out by Aker Solutions, which include conventional inspection and advanced inspection and also planning and engineering services.

Linda Aase – Aker Solutions brownfield projects executive vice president said: “This contract will secure and further grow our Asset Integrity Management services.

“Our specialist services ensure that our customers maintain full control of the integrity of their facilities and associated infrastructure. Our services help operators spend where it is most needed, gain confidence to make quick, informed decisions and meet production targets.”

Aker Solutions’ scope of work includes in-service inspection for Statfjord A, B and C, Martin Linge, Oseberg Field Centre, South, East and C, Mongstad onshore refinery, Åsgard A, B and C, Kristin
Heidrun A and B, and Njord A and B.

The work will be executed by Aker Solutions personnel based in Stavanger, Trondheim, and Bergen.
