Aker Solutions bags new contract from Azule Energy for Ndungu Project in Angola

Aker Solutions has secured a significant contract from Azule Energy for providing subsea umbilicals for the latter’s Ndungu project in Angola.

The contract includes the supply of eight infield umbilicals, along with spares, totaling over 25 kilometers. The execution of the project, encompassing the engineering and manufacturing aspects, will commence at Aker Solutions’ facilities in Fornebu and Moss, Norway. The operation will begin immediately, with the expected delivery slated for the fourth quarter of 2024.

Ndungu Project: An Integral Part of Azule Energy’s Agogo Integrated West Hub

The Ndungu field is a critical part of Azule Energy’s Agogo Integrated West Hub project in Block 15/06 in Angola. Aker Solutions had recently scored another umbilicals contract for the Agogo field development, making it a vital player in the region’s oil and gas landscape.

The contract’s monetary value falls between NOK 0.5 billion and NOK 1.5 billion, as defined by Aker Solutions, and will be recognized as an order intake in the Subsea segment for the third quarter of 2023.
