Bharti Airtel (Airtel) said that it has deployed its Airtel 5G Plus service at the Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport in Varanasi, the first airport in Uttar Pradesh to be equipped with ultrafast 5G service.
As per the Indian telecommunications service provider, the Airtel 5G Plus is currently available at the Bengaluru and Pune airports as well.
So far, the Airtel 5G Plus service has been rolled out across eight cities in India. Apart from Varanasi, Airtel 5G Plus service has been rolled out across Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Panipat, Hyderabad, Nagpur, Siliguri, and Gurugram.
In Varanasi, the 5G services from Airtel are presently available at Benaras Hindu University (BHU), Adampur, Ghatt Road, Rajghat, Beniya Bagh Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Sigra, Sarnath, Thateri Bazaar and some other locations.
According to Airtel, customers flying in and out of the Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport in Varanasi can avail Airtel 5G Plus across the airport terminal.
Passengers can use the Airtel 5G service on their mobiles at the arrival and departure terminals, boarding gates, lounges, immigration and migration counters, baggage claim belts, security areas, parking area, and others.
Airtel said that all customers having 5G smartphones will get the high speed Airtel 5G Plus on their existing data plans itself and do not have to change the SIM as the existing Airtel 4G SIM is enabled with 5G.
