Affirm, a US-based financial technology company, has entered into a partnership with e-commerce giant Amazon to offer its payment solution to the latter’s customers at checkout.
The two parties are currently testing with select customers and in the near term, the e-commerce retailed will make Affirm’s payment solution more widely available to its customers.
According to Affirm, by using its payment solution, select Amazon customers will now be able to split the total cost of purchases of $50 or more into easy monthly payments.
Customers, who are approved, are shown the total cost of their purchase upfront and do not have to pay more than what they agree to during checkout. The consumers do not have to make any late or hidden fees.
Eric Morse — Senior Vice President of Sales at Affirm said: “By partnering with Amazon we’re bringing the transparency, predictability and affordability that Affirm provides today to the millions of people who shop on Amazon.com in the U.S.
“Offering Affirm’s alternative to credit cards also delivers more of the payment choice and flexibility consumers on Amazon want.”
