Adani Wind’s 5.2MW wind turbine receives key certification

Adani Wind, the wind energy solutions division of Adani New Industries Limited (ANIL), has achieved a significant milestone with its 5.2 MW Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) receiving type certification from WindGuard GmbH. This certification, obtained under the IEC System for Certification to Standards Relating to Equipment for Use in Renewable Energy Applications (IECRE), signals the turbine’s adherence to the highest quality and safety standards. It also positions Adani Wind to commence series production for global markets.

Adani Wind’s WTG Meets Global Standards

The type certification underscores the conformity of Adani WTG to the globally recognized IEC 61400 series standards and regulations governing design, testing, and manufacturing in the renewable energy sector. WindGuard conducted rigorous testing of the WTG prototype, located in Mundra, Gujarat.
