Adani Wilmar collaborates with Akshaya Patra Foundation to support school meals in Ahmedabad

Adani Wilmar Limited (AWL), a major player in India’s Food & FMCG sector, has partnered with The Akshaya Patra Foundation, a non-profit organization, to enhance its mid-day meal program for underprivileged school children in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. This partnership is part of Adani Wilmar’s continued commitment to corporate social responsibility, focusing on combating malnutrition and supporting education.

As part of the collaboration, Adani Wilmar will fund the provision of nutritious mid-day meals for one year to children in several schools across Ahmedabad. Additionally, the company has donated delivery vans to ensure efficient and reliable transport of meals to these schools daily. This initiative is designed to alleviate hunger among school children and enhance their learning opportunities by removing the barrier of hunger during the school day.

The initiative was officially launched at a flag-off event in Ahmedabad, where new delivery vans were presented. The event was attended by notable figures including Mr. Ashok Kumar, Business Head of the Food Service Division at Adani Wilmar Ltd., and Sri Raya Rama Dasa, Vice President of The Akshaya Patra Foundation, Gujarat. This event highlighted the collaborative efforts of both organizations to support and improve the educational experiences of children through better nutrition.
