Adani New Industries Limited (ANIL), a part of the Adani Group, has signed a technology development and licensing agreement with Australia-based Cavendish Renewable Technology to develop hydrogen electrolyzer technologies.
The agreement covers costs for infrastructure to further develop intellectual property, royalties, and licence fees on the successful commercialization of the electrolyzer technologies of Cavendish Renewable Technology.
Adani New Industries, which is the manufacturing and green hydrogen platform of the Indian conglomerate Adani Group, has plans to set up a vertically integrated 5GW electrolyzer manufacturing plant in India.
The Adani Group company has chosen Cavendish Renewable Technology as a technology partner for developing green hydrogen electrolyser technologies to address growing demand in India as well as the Middle East North Africa region.
The agreement calls for the development of alkaline electrolyzers (AEL), anion exchange membranes (aem), polymer exchange membrane (PEM), and Cavendish Renewable Technology’s ‘C Cell’ technology for production at mass scale.
