Adani Green Energy commissions 600MW Jaisalmer hybrid power plant

Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL), a part of the Adani Group, has started operations of the 600MW Jaisalmer wind-solar hybrid power plant in Rajasthan.

The hybrid power plant is underpinned by power purchase agreements (PPA) with Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) at a rate of INR 2.69/kwh for 25 years.

According to Adani Green Energy, the Jaisalmer hybrid power plant features 600MW solar and nearly 150MW wind plants.

The solar power plant uses bifacial photovoltaic (PV) modules and uses the horizontal single-axis tracker (HSAT) technology with the aim to capture maximum energy from the sun.

In May 2022, Adani Green Energy commissioned a 390MW hybrid power plant, which is also located in Jaisalmer.

Adani Green Energy’s total operational generation capacity currently stands at nearly 6.7GW, which includes an operational hybrid power generation capacity of around 1GW.
