Adani Green Energy commissions 390MW hybrid power plant in Jaisalmer

Adani Green Energy Limited said that its subsidiary Adani Hybrid Energy Jaisalmer One Limited (AHEJOL) has commissioned a 390MW wind-solar hybrid power plant in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan.

The project is claimed to be the first-ever wind and solar hybrid power generation facility in India.

The wind-solar hybrid power plant in Jaisalmer is underpinned by a power purchase agreement (PPA) signed with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI).

The tariff is at INR 2.69 per kWh, said Adani Green Energy.

Following the commissioning of the Rajasthan wind-solar project, the Adani Group company has increased its operational capacity to 5.8GW.

“This project is a part of the first construction facility by international banks in Adani Green. It is commendable that the project was successfully executed amidst the uncertainties imposed by the global pandemic.”

Earlier this month, Adani Group’s green energy companies, which include Adani Green Energy, Adani Transmission Limited (ATL), and Adani Enterprises Limited (AEL), secured an investment of around $2 billion from Abu Dhabi’s International Holding Company.
