Adani Green Energy commissions 100MW Kutch wind farm in Gujarat
Adani Green Energy (AGEL) said that its subsidiary Adani Wind Energy Kutch Three Limited (AWEKTL) has commissioned a 100MW wind farm in Kutch, Gujarat.
The wind farm in Gujarat was brought online five months ahead of its scheduled commissioning date, claimed the Adani Group company.
The Kutch wind farm is said to be the fifth project to have been brought into operations before schedule by Adani Green Energy in the last 12 months.
It is underpinned by a power purchase agreement (PPA) with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) at INR 2.82/kwh.
Adani Green Energy has now taken its operational wind generation capacity to 497MW.
The Indian renewable power developer has a total capacity of 14.8GW, which includes 11.47GW that has been awarded and are at various stages of implementation.
The Kutch wind farm will be managed by the ‘Intelligent Energy Network Operation Centre’ platform of Adani Group that is said to give complete centralized visibility to Adani Green Energy and an ability to handle its renewables assets on pan India basis.
Adani Green Energy stated: “AGEL through its successive projects has continued to integrate the objective of sustainability with economic development thereby creating jobs as well as enabling the decarbonization in line with India’s commitment at United Nations Climate Change Conference in Paris and taking it step closer towards Climate Leadership.”
