Acrysil Limited to set up Rs 38cr quartz kitchen sinks manufacturing plant

Acrysil Limited, a manufacturer of quartz kitchen sinks, said that it will further expand its production capacity by 160,000 quartz sinks per annum by setting up a greenfield project at Bhavnagar, Gujarat with an investment of around INR 38 crores.

Following the completion of the project, the company will take its overall capacity to a million sinks per annum.

Currently, the quartz kitchen sinks manufacturer has a production capacity of 700,000 units per annum.

Acrysil Limited said that its production capacity was expanded to cope up with the increasing demand for quartz kitchen sinks globally.

Chirag Parekh — Chairman and Managing Director of Acrysil Limited said: “We had announced expansion of production by 140,000 units p.a. vide our announcement dated 28th June, 2021, which is progressing as per schedule. Considering the growing demand globally, we have decided to set-up Greenfield Project to expand our production capacity by additional 160,000 units p.a.”

The proposed capital expenditure by the company will be spent on land and building, moulds, plant and machinery, warehouse, utilities, and other associated infrastructure.

The quartz kitchen sinks manufacturing plant in Bhavnagar is expected to be completed by Q1 FY2023 and will be funded by a combination of internal accruals and debt, said Acrysil Limited.
