Accenture Federal Services, a subsidiary of Accenture, has been awarded a significant $329 million prime contract to oversee the comprehensive information assurance and privacy program for the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
Under this contract, Accenture Federal Services will provide a wide range of services, including risk and compliance support, incident management, diagnostics and mitigation support, threat intelligence and analysis, as well as a privacy program and cyber awareness training for USAID personnel.
The primary focus of Accenture Federal Services will be to support the USAID Bureau for Management, Office of the Chief Information Officer in effectively managing a sophisticated information assurance program. This program is designed to safeguard USAID’s critical information assets and ensure the organization’s ability to adapt and respond to evolving global threats.
With a period of performance extending up to ten years, Accenture Federal Services will play a crucial role in implementing and maintaining robust security measures to protect USAID’s sensitive data and information systems. By delivering a comprehensive suite of services, the company aims to enhance risk management, incident response capabilities, and overall cyber resilience for USAID.
The contract includes various components, such as providing ongoing risk and compliance support to ensure USAID’s adherence to relevant security regulations and industry standards. Accenture Federal Services will also manage incident management procedures, offering timely response and mitigation strategies in the event of security breaches or threats.
Furthermore, the company will leverage its expertise in threat intelligence and analysis to monitor and identify potential risks, enabling proactive measures to counter emerging cyber threats effectively.
