Accenture (NYSE: ACN) has strategically broadened its service offerings for the private equity industry by acquiring Impendi, a sourcing and procurement services provider known for its focus on private equity clients. This move marks a significant expansion of Accenture’s capabilities in a rapidly growing industry segment.
Impendi, renowned for assisting private equity firms in enhancing their profitability, specializes in making informed sourcing and procurement decisions. The firm’s procurement analytics services enable clients to track spending, identify savings opportunities, release cash, and improve supplier diversity. Their expertise spans from due diligence and investment research to optimizing value creation in investment portfolios.
Accenture has been actively expanding its private equity services and senior talent over the past year to meet the increasing demand from investors. Jay Scanlan, Global Lead of Accenture’s Private Equity group, stated, “Impendi will help us accelerate that mission with their innovative sourcing and procurement solutions, proven advisory, execution, and analytics services for the private equity industry from due diligence to value creation and value delivery.”
Accenture’s offerings for private equity clients cover a broad spectrum, including advisory, analytics, digital, growth, operations, and technology services. These include rapid IT diagnostics, cloud migration, and managed services such as cybersecurity. The focus is on acquiring superior assets, simplifying operations, enhancing margins and revenue, and managing risks more effectively to drive better investment returns and sustained growth.

Founded in 2014 and headquartered in New York, Impendi brings a team of approximately 130 sourcing and procurement professionals from the U.S. and India. The firm’s client base extends beyond leading private equity firms to include companies in finance, professional services, manufacturing, consumer goods, and technology.
