KEC International bags Rs13.5bn orders for T&D, civil, and cables business units

KEC International, an India-based infrastructure EPC company, has bagged new orders worth INR 1,349 crores across its multiple business units.

The RPG Group company won orders for transmission and distribution (T&D) projects in India, the Middle East, South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC), and Americas. These include execution of a HVDC project in India as per a contract from an undisclosed private player, a 400 kV overhead transmission line in Kuwait, a 132 kV underground cabling order in Nepal, and a contract for supplying transmission towers in the US.

KEC International said that its civil business unit won orders for the construction of a data center and for infra works in the hydrocarbon segment in India.

On the other hand, the cables business unit of the EPC company, has bagged orders for multiple types of cables in India and overseas.

Vimal Kejriwal — KEC International MD and CEO said: “We are delighted with the new order wins, especially our maiden order in the growing segment of HVDC Terminal Station in India. KEC is the first EPC company in India to secure an order of this scale in this segment.

“We have consolidated our leadership position in the Middle East market by re-entering Kuwait. With the cabling order in Nepal, we have expanded our presence in the international cabling solutions segment.

“With the order for building a Data Centre in NCR, we are now executing Data Centre projects across India. With these orders, our YTD order intake has now surpassed Rs. 13,000 crores, a robust growth of ~20% vis-à-vis last year.”
