Shree Cement begins trial run of new clinkerisation unit at Raipur

Shree Cement Limited said that it has started the trial run of its new clinkerisation unit (Kiln -3) at Baloda Bazar, located near Raipur in Chhattisgarh.

According to the Indian cement manufacturer, the clinkerisation unit will augment its clinker supply to its multiple grinding units in Eastern India.

Shree Cement also installed a waste heat recovery power unit alongside the clinkerisation unit, which will generate green power and help meet its power needs.

The cement manufacturer claimed that the brownfield investment in Kiln-3 at Raipur will create employment as well as revenue generation opportunities and contribute to the overall growth and development of Chhattisgarh.

The entire investment for the clinkerisation unit was funded from its internal accruals, said Shree Cement, which is said to have a total cement capacity of 46.4 MTPA.
