Red Butte Pipe Line : Silver Creek Midstream launches open season

Silver Creek Midstream has launched an open season for the Red Butte Pipe Line, a 495-mile crude oil pipeline system that transports oil produced from the Big Horn and Wind River Basins to Casper, Wyoming.

The open season is for seeking shipper commitments for the refurbishment and overhaul of an 8km pipeline section between the Red Butte Gebo Station in Hot Springs County and Chatham Station in Washakie County, both located in Wyoming.

Silver Creek Midstream claimed that with the pipeline overhauling project showing substantial shipper interest, it will be capable of offering up to 5,000 barrels per day of transportation service for petroleum to meet the common stream of Red Butte Pipe Line.

According to the US midstream company, the deadline for submitting bids in the open season is 7 September 2020, which can be extended at the sole discretion of Red Butte Pipe Line.

Presently, Red Butte is claimed to be the largest pipeline gathering asset that ships crude oil from the Big Horn and Wind River Basins to Casper. The Red Butte Pipe Line has a couple of delivery points, various truck loading stations, and more than 800,000 barrels of storage.
