Gensol Engineering bags Rs 186cr contract for rooftop solar project in Dubai

Gensol Engineering Limited has been awarded an AED 81.6 million (INR 186 crore) contract to develop a 23 MWp rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) project in Dubai. This contract represents a major achievement for Gensol, further solidifying its status as a leading entity in the renewable energy sector while expanding its influence across the Middle East.

The contract, awarded by a prominent UAE-based sustainable development firm, encompasses the comprehensive design, construction, and long-term maintenance of rooftop solar PV systems for a key aviation facility in Dubai. The 20-month execution period of this project highlights Gensol’s commitment to advancing sustainability initiatives throughout the region and supporting Dubai’s strategic ambitions to establish itself as a global leader in clean energy by 2050.

This 23 MWp rooftop solar project is directly aligned with Dubai’s overarching vision for a more sustainable future. Beyond its solar power ventures, the company has expanded into the electric vehicle market, with an EV manufacturing facility situated in Chakan, Pune.

Recently, Gensol acquired Scorpius Trackers, a provider of advanced single-axis solar tracking solutions, further enhancing its renewable energy offerings. The company is also actively involved in the development of Green Hydrogen Production infrastructure, thereby demonstrating its versatile capabilities within the renewable sector.
