Accenture to acquire Camelot Management Consultants to boost SAP and AI-driven supply chain capabilities

Accenture (NYSE: ACN) has announced its agreement to acquire Camelot Management Consultants, an esteemed SAP-focused management and technology consulting firm headquartered in Mannheim, Germany. The acquisition, with undisclosed terms, is set to enhance Accenture’s SAP and artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities within the supply chain domain. Camelot, which has been a prominent player in supply chain management, data analytics, and strategy, will significantly bolster Accenture’s ability to offer advanced solutions to its clients, aligning with the growing demand for intelligent and resilient supply chains.

The integration of Camelot’s deep expertise in supply chain management into Accenture’s portfolio will enhance its capabilities to drive the transformation of clients’ entire supply chains. Camelot’s specialization in analytics, data strategy, and modernization will support organizations in building a robust foundation for accelerated AI adoption. According to recent research by Accenture, only 9% of companies extensively use AI and generative AI across their supply chains, with the widespread adoption of these technologies linked to increased profitability.

Tobias Regenfuss, Technology Lead for Austria, Switzerland, and Germany at Accenture, highlighted the rising demand for data and analytics services in supply chain management, driven by market volatility and the need for more efficient logistics. Camelot, founded in 1996, is a leading SAP partner with a diverse client base in chemicals, life sciences, consumer goods, and industrial manufacturing sectors. With a global presence including the United States, United Arab Emirates, India, Poland, Spain, and Switzerland, Camelot employs over 700 highly qualified professionals specializing in SAP, data, and supply chain management.

Camelot follows Einr, a Norwegian SAP-focused business consulting company that Accenture acquired in May 2023. The completion of Camelot’s acquisition is contingent on customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals.
