In a significant political move, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has resolved to bring up the arrest of its president, N. Chandrababu Naidu, related to the AP skill development scam worth Rs 371 crore, in the special session of Parliament set for September 18-22. This decision emanates from a high-profile TD Parliamentary party meeting, chaired by N. Lokesh, the party’s national general secretary, in New Delhi.

TD MPs unanimously condemned the arrest of Naidu, asserting that they will seek the Centre’s intervention during the Parliamentary session. They contend that Naidu is a victim of political vendetta, perpetrated by the YSRC government led by Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. “The YSRC government is engaging in the politics of vengeance and carrying out illegal arrests of political opponents,” the TD MPs said, urging the Centre to step in and curb such practices.
