McDermott has been entrusted with a substantial contract by the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) for its esteemed KG-DWN-98/2 project off India’s east coast in a strategic expansion of their ongoing collaboration. The contract, valued between USD $50 million and USD $250 million, involves the crucial transportation and installation of a central processing platform (CPP) and living quarters.
Expanding McDermott’s Scope in India’s Subsea Development
This contract marks an expansion of McDermott’s role in the KG-DWN-98/2 project, already one of India’s most significant subsea ventures. The company’s responsibilities will now include managing the transition from the initial phase, which featured the delivery of a comprehensive subsea production system and installation of subsea infrastructure, to the installation of facilities essential for processing wet gas.

McDermott’s proven expertise in executing large-scale and fast-track offshore projects is reflected in this contract win.
