CRISIL to acquire Aussie research and consulting firm Peter Lee Associates

CRISIL Limited, an Indian analytical company owned by S&P Global, has agreed to acquire Peter Lee Associates, an Australian research and consulting firm, for AUD 6.15 million ($4.23 million).

Founded in 2004, Peter Lee Associates is engaged in helping financial service corporations build and sustain a competitive advantage in service to their customers.

The Australian research and consulting firm provides benchmarking insights on market positioning, cross-sell, and intelligence on wider market trends with its research programs through its engagement with senior business executives.

Peter Lee Associates holds annual research programs in Australia and New Zealand in multiple areas of banking, markets, and investment management.

According to CRISIL Limited, the acquisition will expand its offerings in benchmarking analytics to the Australia and New Zealand region.

The Indian analytical company further stated that the acquisition will complement its existing portfolio of products and grow offerings to new regions and segments across financial services including investment management and commercial banks. The deal is also expected to expedite its strategy in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region to be a leading player in the growing market.

The deal, which is subject to customary closing conditions, is likely to be wrapped up in the next three months.
