X2M Connect wins new water meter monitoring contract in South Korea
X2M Connect, an Australian Internet of Things (IoT) technology company, has bagged a new water meter monitoring contract worth around AUD 1.13 million from Yeosu City in South Korea.
The new award takes the number of enterprise and government customers across X2M Connect to 51, while the number of South Korean municipalities using the Australian firm’s IoT platform moves up to 27.
According to X2M Connect, the latest contract is for water monitoring and control for Yeosu. It involves the deployment of the X2M IoT platform along with server equipment in the South Korean city’s data centre as well as monitoring of 4,280 homes.
The Australian IoT company stated that the deployment under the water meter monitoring contract is to be done within 12 months of the date of the contract.

We continue to execute our strategy of securing customers with large addressable markets that will provide the base for future subscription revenues.”
