Wipro ropes in Christopher Smith as A/NZ managing director

Indian IT services provider Wipro has appointed Christopher Smith as the Managing Director for its Australian and New Zealand (A/NZ) operations.

According to Wipro, Christopher Smith has more than 20 years of experience in IT and telecommunications in the US, Asia, Europe, and Australia.

Prior to this stint with Wipro, Christopher Smith was with Telstra, where he served as the group owner of Telstra Purple, an Australian owned technology services provider.

Christopher Smith has a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from the University of New South Wales (UNSW) and an Executive MBA given by the Australian Graduate School of Management (AGSM).
