Wipro forges partnership with Securonix for managed security services

Wipro Limited has forged a partnership with Securonix, a Texas-based security information and event management company, to deliver managed security services.

The partnership brings together the cloud-first SIEM, analytics-driven detection and automated response tools of Securonix and the Indian IT firm’s global reach and cybersecurity intelligence capabilities. The combination will offer enhanced governance and security threat protection for organizations.

According to Wipro, cybersecurity today is spread over various niches such as round-the-clock security monitoring, security orchestration and automation, incident response and digital forensics, threat intelligence, security data lakes, management of vulnerabilities, host and endpoint security, network security, application security, and others. Managed security services can help cyber operations teams and chief information security officers (CISO) overcome challenges faced in the areas and beyond, said the Indian IT company.

Wipro, which is a managed security service provider (MSSP) in the Securonix FUEL Partner Program, joins other multinational service providers in partnering with Securonix to strengthen the US firm’s managed security offerings.

Securonix’s end-to-end security operations platform, which is augmented with Securonix Jupiter, is said to deliver improved detection and response, enhanced user experience, and optimized performance and cost.

With the partnership with Securonix, the Indian IT giant will look to boost the cyber organizational effectiveness and resiliency of businesses and take a cost-effective positive security posture.

Wipro said that the services offered are supported by security operations center (SOC) best practices, regulatory, and compliance requirements, and also cyber-risk advisory and assurance.

The company added that the SOC services that empower organizational resilience can be provided from its global cyber defense centers (CDCs), offshore or onsite operation and development centers (ODC), client SOC / CDC premises, or by adopting a hybrid model.
