Wärtsilä bags €480m contracts for power plant projects in Latin America

Wärtsilä has secured two contracts with a combined worth of around €480 million for supplying 22 of its 34DF multi-fuel engines and 24 50DF multi-fuel engines to power plant projects in Latin America.

The contracts are part of its Q4/2021 order intake, said the Finnish technology company.

According to Wärtsilä, the Latin American power projects orders will be executed on a complete engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) basis.

The power plant projects are anticipated to be completed by mid-2022 and mid-2023.
