German technology company Voith has helped Spanish paper manufacturer Papresa start operations of its re-built PM 5 paper machine at its Rentería paper mill in Spain.

The PM 5 was converted by Voith from newsprint to testliner and corrugating medium following an order placed a year ago.

According to Voith, the PM 5 will enable substantially more efficient and sustainable production of packaging papers at the Rentería paper mill.

On the other hand, the production of newsprint will be taken care at the PM 6 machine of the same Spanish paper mill.
