TriMech acquires Mastercam businesses of MACDAC and Compumachine

TriMech, a Virginia-based technology partner to engineers and manufacturers, has acquired the Mastercam CAM software businesses of MACDAC Engineering and Compumachine.

The financial terms of the two deals were not revealed by TriMech, which is a portfolio company of private equity firm Halifax Group.

MACDAC Engineering, which is based in Somers, Connecticut, is a Mastercam partner. The company offers software, training, and support to more than 1,000 manufacturers across Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, and New York.

On the other hand, Compumachine, which is based in Danvers, Massachusetts, is a provider of machine tool and engineering services in the Northeast.

TriMech said that the two acquisitions enable it to offer more comprehensive solutions to its manufacturing clients.

Through the addition of MACDAC and Compumachine’s Mastercam business, the company gets access to the full product catalog of the CAM software, while gaining an experienced team of sales and support personnel. The acquisitions are also said to expanding TriMech’s solutions to help cope up with the design and production requirements of its manufacturing clients in the Northeastern US.
