Tech Mahindra, MIH Consortium partner on automotive engineering solutions

Tech Mahindra, a part of Indian conglommerate Mahindra Group, has joined forces with Foxconn-initiated MIH (Mobility in Harmony) Consortium with an aim to offer sustainable automotive engineering solutions to the mobility industry.

The partnership will concentrate on coming up with sustainable mobility solutions and developing the next generation of autonomous driving solutions, electric vehicles (EVs), and mobility service applications that can bring value to stakeholders in the mobility sector.

As part of the collaboration, Tech Mahindra will help the Mobility in Harmony Consortium develop the software-defined car architecture and platforms. The Indian IT services provider will also provide its expertise in design development, software, and consulting to deliver value to both customers and stakeholders.

Besides, the partnership will put an emphasis on utilizing key technologies and developing reference designs and standards for narrowing the gap for alliance members, facilitating quicker innovation, and development cycles that are shorter.

Presently, the Mobility in Harmony Consortium has more than 2,460 members globally. The consortium is said to be working towards developing an open EV ecosystem to promote collaboration across the mobility industry’s major OEMs, electronic stability programs (ESPs), and Tier 1 suppliers for standardizing EV technologies to steer the electric vehicle revolution.
