TCS roped in by QIAGEN to drive cloud transformation journey

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has been roped in by QIAGEN, a Germany-based provider of sample to insights solutions in life sciences and molecular diagnostics, for partnering in its cloud transformation journey.

QIAGEN is said to be investing in a cloud transformation program for addressing new hurdles of the post-Covid-19 era.

The German firm is joining forces with Tata Consultancy Services for the latter’s contextual knowledge of its infrastructure, applications, and systems, experience in the life sciences industry along with its technology expertise.

The Indian IT services firm will shift the workloads of QIAGEN from its legacy data center to Microsoft Azure as well as develop a new scalable digital core as a foundation for improved ways of working.

Tata Consultancy Services said that its cloud solution experts will closely work with the German company for designing, implementing, and managing a cloud first model. The new digital core will help boost internal and external collaboration to facilitate increased innovation, and improved customer experience, said the Indian firm.

Apart from that, the cloud solution will enhance operational agility and resilience, drive efficiency and decrease the carbon footprint of QIAGEN and help in its journey to net zero.
