Tata Power to set up DC fast charging points for GAIL Gas in Bengaluru
Tata Power and GAIL Gas Limited have entered into an agreement to set up DC fast charging points at a couple of the GAIL (India) subsidiary’s CNG retail outlets in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
According to Tata Power, the partnership aligns with its commitment to foster electric mobility across India and the commitment of GAIL Gas to provide convenience to its customers who want to change to electric vehicles (EVs).
Raman Chadha — GAIL GAS CEO said: “We have always been on promoting the futuristic fuel mission and are committed to providing convenience to the people in our authorized geographical area at their doorstep. EV charging facility at our CNG station is yet another step in this direction.”

Tata Power claimed that it has a network of more than 3,600 charging points in over 450 cities installed at petrol pumps, shopping malls, metro stations, highways, and theatres.
Over the coming five years, Tata Power is targeting the installation of 25,000 public EV charging stations throughout India.
Praveer Sinha — Tata Power CEO and MD said: “We are happy to collaborate with GAIL Gas Limited since they share our commitment to sustainable mobility. EV owners in Bengaluru will benefit from the growing availability for chargers as this partnership will make charging stations more accessible to them and lessen range anxiety.”
Recently, Tata Power pledged to install 1,000 EV charging points and 1,00,000 solar pumps in Odisha in an effort to transform the state into a clean energy hub with its solutions and offerings in clean and green energy.
