Tata Power pledges 1,000 EV charging points, 1,00,000 solar pumps in Odisha

Tata Power has pledged to set up 1,000 electric vehicle (EV) charging points and 1,00,000 solar pumps in Odisha in an effort to transform the Indian state into a clean energy hub via its solutions and offerings in clean and green energy.

For encouraging clean mobility, Tata Power intends to install the EV charging points across Odisha in the next five years. So far, the Tata Group company has installed 50 EV charging points in the state with another 97 charging points under different phases of installation and commissioning.

For solarizing the agriculture sector, Tata Power is said to be associating with the Odisha government. The company has so far installed more than 700 solar pumps along with 1,200 dual pumps for community drinking applications across Odisha.

The 1,00,000 solar pumps it has pledged to install during the Make in Odisha Conclave 2022, will be executed over the next five years.

Tata Power has also committed an investment of INR 6,000 crores in the electricity distribution business in Odisha in the next five years.

Our clean and green energy products and solutions in e-mobility, decentralised generation, agriculture, and demand side management will further ensure an all-round sustainable development of the State.”
