Tata Motors begins deliveries of Ace EV four-wheel small commercial vehicle

Tata Motors said that it has started deliveries of the new zero-emission Ace EV four-wheel small commercial vehicle (CV) for last-mile deliveries in India with the first fleet supplied to major e-commerce, courier, and FMCG companies, and their logistics service providers.

The recipients of the Ace EV vehicles include Delhivery, Amazon, DHL (Express & Supply Chain), Flipkart, FedEx, MoEVing, Johnson & Johnson Consumer Health, Trent Limited, and Safexpress, said the Indian commercial vehicle manufacturer.

Unveiled in May 2022, Ace EV is said to have undergone stringent real-world market trials. The electric small commercial vehicle comes with a five-year maintenance package.

Included in its supporting ecosystem are the development and deployment of charging infrastructure, installation of exclusive electric vehicle support centers for maximizing the uptime of the fleet, deployment of Tata Fleet Edge fleet management solution, support of Tata UniEVerse eco-system and partnerships with major Indian financiers to get funding.

The Ace EV is equipped with Tata Motors’ EVOGEN powertrain that provides a range of 154kms. It is driven by a 27kW (36hp) motor with a peak torque of 130Nm for ensuring the highest cargo volume of 208 ft³ and a 22% grade-ability.

Recently, Tata Motors announced that it sold 91,704 commercial vehicles in India during Q3FY23.
