Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) to invest $518m in Ohio, to create 800 jobs
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) said that it will invest over $518 million in the next two years in Ohio to address the growing demand for IT talent and to handle local community requirements.
The Indian IT services will hire more than 800 local employees to expand its operations in the US state at its Seven Hills Park campus, outside Cincinnati and other offices across Ohio by 2022 to cope up with the increasing needs of its customers.
TCS plans to double participation in its STEM and computer science K-12 education programs by next year.
Ohio Governor Mike DeWine said: “This investment in the greater Cincinnati region demonstrates TCS’ commitment to training and growing Ohio’s workforce.
“TCS’ plan to double its commitment in STEM programs will positively impact the lives of young Ohioans and prepare them to enter this growing industry.”

TCS has offices in 30 locations in the US and its Cincinnati center caters to over 160 customers across Ohio and since 2017, has provided employment to 1,337 people locally.
The IT services company is said to have recruited 244 students from local universities in Ohio over the last five years for jobs across the US.
