Subsea 7 wins subsea pipeline contract in Gulf of Mexico

Subsea 7 has won a contract for work in the Gulf of Mexico pertaining to the engineering, procurement, construction, and the installation of subsea pipelines, and transport and installation works related to an undisclosed project.

The UK-based offshore contractor said that the contract will be recorded in backlog in Q2 2020.

Without revealing the exact contract value, Subsea 7 indicated it to be in the range of $50 million and $150 million.

The offshore contractor said that the offshore installation activities pertaining to the Gulf of Mexico contract are slated for 2020.

Subsea 7 said that currently no additional details can be communicated because of contractual reasons.
