Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre in Canada deploys Vocera Smartbadge solution

Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre (SLMHC) in Ontario, Canada, has deployed the new Vocera Smartbadge solution to improve care team communication and staff safety.

The wearable Smartbadge is purpose-built for healthcare and combines smartphone capabilities with the hands-free Vocera Badge.

Implemented throughout the hospital, the Smartbadge will standardize care team communication, provide clinicians more agility, and improve patient care and satisfaction.

Smartbadge with one-touch panic button is designed to improve patient, family and staff safety as well as help staff in emergency conditions.

The mobile device can integrate with over 140 clinical and operational systems through the Vocera software platform.

Initially, SLMHC plans to integrate the Smartbadge with its electronic health record and nurse call systems.

The hospital will leverage the entire Vocera Platform and the Vocera Analytics solution for insights into the number of alerts, voice calls, and texts clinicians receive.

SLMHC is a fully accredited 60-bed hospital and a 20-bed extended care facility.
