Secret Double Octopus (SDO), a workforce authentication solutions provider, and Wipro have entered into a global partnership for passwordless protection against identity-based cyber attacks.

In the framework of the partnership, Wipro’s Cybersecurity and Risk Services (CRS) will make use of Secret Double Octopus’ Octopus Enterprise technology platform to power the Indian IT company’s passwordless authentication system as part of its Zero Trust digital identity initiative.

The combination of Wipro’s strategy-first approach to identity with Secret Double Octopus’ security measures to ward off phishing-resistant multi-factor authentication (MFA) technology will provide businesses with better authentication mechanisms as well as lessen the losses from fraud.

The Wipro/ Secret Double Octopus solution that is password-less eliminates the need to remember or type in passwords for logins to work or for authentication. The authenticity of identities is confirmed by an array of FIDO-compliant authenticator choices.

The solution is built on a universal authentication process for all resources in the enterprise such as legacy on-premises apps servers, desktops, web applications, and remote access solutions such as virtual private networks (VPNs) as well as virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI).
