The combination of Wipro’s strategy-first approach to identity with Secret Double Octopus’ security measures to ward off phishing-resistant multi-factor authentication (MFA) technology will provide businesses with better authentication mechanisms as well as the losses from fraud.

The Wipro/ Secret Double Octopus solution that is password-less eliminates the need to remember or type in passwords for logins to work or for authentication. The authenticity of identities is confirmed by an array of FIDO-compliant authenticator choices.

The solution is built on a universal authentication process for all resources in the enterprise such as legacy on-premises apps servers, desktops, web applications, and remote access solutions such as virtual private networks (VPNs) as well as virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI).

A few of the benefits of the solution are substantial savings on password management expenses, enhanced user experience for contractors, employees, customers, and partners, more robust authentication mechanisms that minimize the risk of fraud, as well as support for older on-premises software or active directory.

Tony Buffomante — Wipro Senior Vice President and Global Head of Cybersecurity & Risk Services said: “SDO’s approach to transformative authentication fits perfectly within our proprietary CyberTransform digital identity initiatives and allows us to address the diverse authentication needs of today’s modern distributed enterprise,”

“It’s no secret that passwords are increasing user friction, decreasing user experience and raising identity maintenance costs. Moving to a passwordless strategy is an integral part of the necessary shift to a Zero Trust identity foundation.”
