Seadrill wins $105m contracts for West Neptune and Sevan Louisiana rigs

Seadrill Limited, an offshore drilling contractor, has won new contracts totaling $105 million for the West Neptune and the Sevan Louisiana drillships.

The West Neptune drillship has won a contract extension for drilling four more wells with two one-well options from LLOG Exploration Offshore in the US Gulf of Mexico. The firm-term will begin, continuing with the existing contract.

It has an estimated duration of 200 days and is likely to keep the West Neptune drilling rig busy up to August 2023. The total contract value for the firm-term contract for the West Neptune drillship is nearly $71 million.

On the other hand, the Sevan Louisiana drillship has bagged a three-well extension from Talos Production, in the US Gulf of Mexico. It comes with a minimum duration of 105 days starting from August 2022.

Total contract value for the three-well contract extension for the Sevan Louisiana drilling rig is nearly $34 million.
