Royal Canin to invest $200m in pet food facility in Lebanon, Tennessee

Royal Canin, a pet health nutrition company owned by Mars, is investing more than $200 million to expand its Lebanon facility in Tennessee to support its future growth, as per an announcement made in March 2021.

The pet food company will expand its operations in Wilson County with the investment, creating 90 plus jobs. Expansion of the pet food facility commenced in 2019 and is slated to be completed next year.

We have experienced tremendous growth, and the expansion at our Tennessee site confirms our commitment to meet the needs of the growing number of pets we serve.

The investment will enable the facility to manufacture the Royal Canin and EUKANUBA health and nutrition product ranges. Also, a new working space of more than 108,000 square feet for accommodating five additional highly automated production lines will be added to the facility to double the plant’s capacity.

Established in 1968 and acquired by Mars in 2001, Royal Canin manufactures cat and dog food. The company also offers formulas with customized nutritional solutions for cats and dogs.
