PNC Infratech prevails as L1 bidder for Varanasi-Ranchi-Kolkata Highway

PNC Infratech said that it has been declared the L1 (lowest) bidder for the Varanasi-Ranchi-Kolkata Highway, a new hybrid annuity highway project of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) in Bihar.

The project calls for the construction of a six-lane highway between the villages of Pachmon and Anarbansalea. The bid project cost is INR 1,260 crores.

According to PNC Infratech, the greenfield Varanasi-Ranchi-Kolkata Highway will be from km 116+000 to km 151+200 with a length of 35.2km. It will be laid under Package 6 under the Bharatmala Pariyojana.

The price bids for the Varanasi-Ranchi-Kolkata Highway were opened on 14 March 2023 and PNC Infratech’s bid was the lowest.

The highway project is to be built in 24 months and operated for 15 years, after its construction, said the infrastructure development, construction, and management company.
