Orient Bell completes Rs 34cr expansion of Hoskote plant in Bengaluru

Orient Bell Limited, the owner of Orientbell Tiles brand, said that it has completed the INR 34 crores expansion of its Hoskote plant in Bengaluru, Karnataka.

The project, which adds up a capacity of nearly 1.8 million square meters per annum was wrapped up well ahead of the schedule, said the manufacturer of ceramic and vitrified tiles.

Orient Bell Limited said that following the completion of the expansion project, its total capacity has increased from 32 million square meters per annum to 33.8 million square meters per annum, which includes 10 million square meters per annum of its associated entities.

Apart from other investments made concurrently to strengthen marketing and distribution, ~Rs. 70 crores has been invested on 5 Growth Capex projects to add incremental volume potential of 5.5 MSM p.a.

“The projects were incubated with clear focus on 2 fronts – one being flexibility to offer new or improved products to suit changing customer preferences and the other to strengthen our footprint in our existing markets.”

According to Aditya Gupta, Orient Bell Limited can now take part in the more meaningfully larger and higher growth markets in southern and western India following the expansion of the Hoskote factory.
