Odfjell Drilling wins contract extension for Deepsea Yantai from Neptune Energy

Odfjell Drilling has won a contract extension from Neptune Energy Norge for using the Deepsea Yantai drilling rig for drilling two further firm wells in Norwegian waters.

The scope of the offshore drilling contract is projected to take 60 days and is slated to begin in the third quarter of 2023, said the Scottish offshore drilling contractor.

The Deepsea Yantai drilling rig is owned by CIMC OFFSHORE and is managed by Odfjell Drilling. Recently, Odfjell Drilling won a contract from Norske Shell for the same drilling rig to carry out a well plugging and abandonment task in the Norwegian North Sea.
