Megaton green energy park to be developed by GreenGo Energy in Denmark
GreenGo Energy will develop the 4GW Megaton green energy park at the future Stovstrup 400kV substation east of Tarm in Ringkøbing-Skjern municipality, Denmark with an investment of DKK 60 billion (€8 billion).
The Megaton project will span over 4,000 hectares of land and include onshore solar and wind projects and an additional 2GW offshore wind project.
It will produce 11.5 TWh of green power annually, apart from providing over 1TWh of surplus heat to the district’s heating system.
The renewable hybrid project with a target to generate more than one million tons of green fuels every year is expected to provide permanent employment to 300-500 people.

GreenGo Energy’s clients and partners will fund the Megaton green energy park while the consulting engineering team includes COWI, Arkitema, and New Power Partners.
The Megaton Energy Park is expected to go onstream 2030, enabling Denmark achieve its 2030 target of a 70% reduction in carbon emission.
Founded in 2011, GreenGo Energy currently has 14GW of solar, wind and P2X projects, which are under various stages of development and construction in selected US states and Northern Europe.
