MedVision acquires health plan technology firm Complete Health Systems
MedVision, a US-based provider of value-based healthcare business applications for delegated risk entities, has acquired Complete Health Systems (CHS), an IT and health plan technology solutions provider that serves health plan benefit administrators.
The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Based in Wichita, Kansas, Complete Health Systems is said to have clients across the US. It serves third party administrators (TPAs) who administer self-insured, Taft-Hartley plans, medical, vision, dental, and disability plans, association plans and self-insured plans administered by employers.
Chacko Kurian — President of Complete Health Systems said: “Since 1991, CHS has been providing their technology platform to administrators of self-funded health plans, both large and small. MedVision, through its acquisition of CHS, provides CHS with access to their resources, including the capabilities of their over 1,100 strong worldwide talent pool.
“We are excited to leverage these synergies with MedVision to deliver even greater value to our current and future clients, especially in the existing environment of evolving marketplace requirements.”
By coming together, MedVision and Complete Health Systems are expected to create a more advanced, seamless, and comprehensive approach in automating several departmental processes of organizations engaged in health plan and benefit administration.
Apart from catering to the self-insured and third party administrator (TPA) sectors of healthcare, the combined entity will address the requirements of several risk-based models such as health plans, physician-hospital organizations, independent physician associations, integrated delivery networks, and of CMS’ direct contract entities and other advanced payment models.
