Majestic Steel USA snaps up Quicken Steel LLC and Mercury Transport Inc.

Majestic Steel USA, a provider of supply chain solutions and prime flat-rolled steel products, has acquired Quicken Steel LLC and Mercury Transport Inc. for an undisclosed price.

Based in Claxton, Georgia, Quicken Steel manufactures steel buildings and components. On the other hand, Mercury Transport is a transportation company headquartered in Pittsburg, California.

Both the companies will become fully-owned units of Majestic Steel USA.

Quicken Steel will continue to independently operate while using the resources of Majestic Steel USA to generate synergies.

According to Majestic Steel USA, Quicken Steel with a niche in delivering short lead-times as well as the quick installation of steel buildings provides a downstream opportunity in line with its approach to innovation and growth.

Mercury Transport is a follow-on investment to last year’s acquisition of Merit Steel USA by Majestic Steel USA. Merit Steel USA is a steel service center based on the West Coast.
