Mahindra Logistics to open warehouses at LOGOS Luhari Logistics Estate

Mahindra Logistics (MLL) has signed a long-term lease agreement with LOGOS, an Asia Pacific logistics specialist, for developing 1.4 million square feet (mmsf) of warehouse facilities located at the LOGOS Luhari Logistics Estate in Delhi-NCR.

According to the Indian third-party logistics (3PL) solutions provider, the transaction marks the largest warehousing facility in a single park in India.

As per the agreement, LOGOS will develop three Grade-A warehouses for Mahindra Logistics at the LOGOS Luhari Logistics Estate.

The first of which, a 0.5mmsf warehouse, is fully operational after being completed in mid-2021. The other two warehouses are presently under development and are slated to be ready in late 2021 and early next year, respectively.

Mehul Shah — CEO of LOGOS Indian business said: “We are pleased to have partnered with MLL, one of fastest growing integrated logistics companies in India, to support their significant growth in this region. We will be delivering MLL’s three warehouses using Lean Construction, a process which involves using offsite precast, fabrication and preassembly for building and external development components.

“This, in conjunction with our strong local network and regional expertise, has enabled us to deliver the first facility within rigorous timelines, despite the challenges of the global pandemic.”

According to Mahindra Logistics, the new warehouses at LOGOS Luhari Logistics Estate will be a crucial part of its pan-India network that is made up of multi-client facilities for managing the fulfillment and distribution needs of its clients’ services within the e-commerce, engineering, and consumer industries.

The warehouses at LOGOS Luhari Logistics Estate are said to be designed in line with the sustainability standards of Mahindra Logistics, covering the firm’s requirements for liquid discharge management, waste management, and renewable energy requirements as well as automation.

The logistics solutions provider will recruit more than 2,500 employees and third-party associates across the three warehouses in Delhi.
