Mahindra brings Qualcomm-powered in-vehicle experiences in Scorpio-N

Mahindra & Mahindra (Mahindra) and Visteon Corporation are joining forces to bring transformative in-vehicle experiences to the Scorpio-N SUV by using Qualcomm Technologies’ 3rd Generation Snapdragon Cockpit Platforms.

The Scorpio-N SUV is powered by Mahindra & Mahindra’s connected artificial intelligence (AI) technology, which uses Visteon’s SmartCore cockpit domain controller technology that is based on the Snapdragon Cockpit Platforms.

The new SUV from the Indian automotive manufacturer comes with a 17.78 cm colour driver information display as well as a 20.32 cm infotainment system with navigation.

By making use of the scalable AI-based Snapdragon Cockpit Platforms, the Scorpio-N SUV is said to give a new level of cusotmization and natural interaction between the vehicle and its driver along with virtual assistance, and ultra-HD, and immersive audio and visual experiences apart from a range of other features for drivers as well as passengers.

According to Qualcomm Technologies, the 3rd Generation Snapdragon Cockpit Platforms are built to underpin higher levels of computing and intelligence required for advanced capabilities added in next generation vehicles. These are said to help in facilitating contextual safety use cases for drivers and passengers.

The features include enabling driver monitoring and detection of objects and ensuring the security of personal as well as vehicular data.
