Lupin rolls out generic version of Ibuprofen and Famotidine Tablets in US
Lupin Limited said that it has rolled out the authorized generic version of Horizon Medicines’ Duexise (ibuprofen and famotidine) Tablets, 800 mg/26.6 mg.
Ibuprofen and Famotidine Tablets, 800 mg/26.6 mg, are used for alleviating signs and symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. The drug is also used for lowering the risk of developing upper gastrointestinal ulcers, which in the clinical trials was defined as a gastric and/or duodenal ulcer in patients taking ibuprofen for the indications.
As per data from IQVIA MAT July 2021, Ibuprofen and Famotidine Tablets had projected annual sales of $765 million in the US.
Earlier this month, Lupin was granted a non-exclusive license from TB Alliance for manufacturing the anti-TB drug pretomanid.
